Russ Franzen is a songwriter and balladeer who performs original songs about the history of Lake Boats, Lighthouses, Shipwrecks, the Wabash, Ohio, and Miami and Erie Canal, and life along the Great Lakes.

 My fifth CD is now available. "Songs of the Miami and Erie Canal." These are original songs that came from my research and experience working as a canal boatman on The Volunteer at the Providence Lock (Lock 44N), Miami and Erie Canal.
